{"id":468,"date":"2026-06-11T14:29:58","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T14:29:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/automatica2026.unipr.it\/?page_id=468"},"modified":"2026-07-15T12:48:34","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T12:48:34","slug":"paper-submission","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/automatica2026.unipr.it\/index.php\/paper-submission","title":{"rendered":"Paper Submission"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paper Submission<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contributions to <strong>Automatica.it 2026<\/strong> must be submitted through <a href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/my\/conference?conf=automaticait2026\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/my\/conference?conf=automaticait2026\"><strong>EasyChair<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deadline for the submissions is <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-accent-4-color has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-1 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"border-style:none;border-width:0px\"><s><strong>July the 15th, 2026<\/strong><\/s>   <strong>July the 20th, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the submission process, authors are asked to select one of the following topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Control Systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Robotics and Autonomous Systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Industrial Automation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intelligent Systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contributions should consist of an <strong>extended abstract of at most 2 pages<\/strong> (free format), including figures and references. Traditionally, the IEEE double column format is used. All extended abstracts and presentation slides must be <strong>written in English<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submissions may include original research contributions, previously published works, or concise reports describing research activities developed in recent years that may be of interest to the broader automatic control community.<br>Contributions may also summarize the results of recently completed or ongoing research projects, or present experimental applications of theoretical results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All submissions will be evaluated by the <strong>Programme Committee<\/strong> based on their scientific quality and relevance to the congress topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the submission process, authors will be asked to select the track or special session that best matches the topic of their contribution. Participants are responsible for printing and bringing their poster to the congress. Posters will be displayed on traditional poster boards, and the organizers will provide the necessary material for attaching them. Posters must be prepared in <strong>portrait orientation<\/strong> and must not exceed <strong>A0 size<\/strong> (118.9 cm height \u00d7 84.1 cm width).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Automatica.it 2026 promotes excellence in Master\u2019s thesis research through two complementary initiatives: the <strong>IEEE CSS Italy Chapter Best Master\u2019s Thesis Session,<\/strong> featuring the recipients of the <strong>IEEE CSS Italy Chapter Best Master\u2019s Thesis Award<\/strong>, and the <strong>Master\u2019s Thesis Poster Session<\/strong>, open to students wishing to present the results of their thesis work. Together, these initiatives aim to showcase the quality and diversity of Master\u2019s research in automatic control and foster interaction between students, researchers, and the broader control community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IEEE CSS Italy Chapter &#8211; Best Master&#8217;s Thesis Session<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Automatica.it 2026 will host a special session dedicated to the\u00a0<strong>Best Master\u2019s Theses in Automatic Control<\/strong>, organized with the support of the\u00a0<strong>IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS) Italy Chapter<\/strong>. The session will feature presentations by selected recent graduates whose master\u2019s theses have been recognized by the IEEE CSS Italy Chapter as outstanding contributions in the field of automatic control and its applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The session aims to highlight the quality of research carried out by young scholars and to promote interaction between students, researchers, and the broader control community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Master&#8217;s Thesis Poster Session<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Automatica.it 2026 will host a&nbsp;<strong>Master\u2019s Thesis Poster Session<\/strong>, providing Master\u2019s degree students with the opportunity to present the results of their thesis work to the Italian automatic control community. The session is intended to highlight Master\u2019s thesis projects in automatic control and its applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accepted contributions will be presented during a dedicated poster session.<br>The session welcomes contributions from students who have recently completed, or are currently completing, their Master\u2019s thesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Industrial Session<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Automatica.it 2026 will feature a dedicated&nbsp;<strong>Industrial Session<\/strong>&nbsp;aimed at fostering dialogue between academia and industry. The session will provide a forum for discussing current challenges, emerging trends, and technological opportunities in automation and control, with particular attention &#8211; but not limited &#8211; to applications of relevance to the industrial ecosystem of the Emilia-Romagna region. Contributions may present industrial case studies, collaborative research projects, innovative technologies, or open problems of interest to the automatic control community. The session is intended to promote interaction between researchers, practitioners, and companies, encouraging the exchange of ideas and the development of future collaborations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ITSS Day \u2013 Intelligent Transportation Systems from a control perspective<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A special session will be organized&nbsp;in collaboration with the&nbsp;<strong>IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Society&nbsp;<\/strong>on the topic &#8220;<strong>Intelligent Transportation Systems from a control perspective<\/strong>\u201d. The session&nbsp;aims to present recent methodological and applied advances in the modelling, optimization, and control of transportation networks. Particular attention is given to automation, coordination, and decision-making in complex mobility systems.The session highlights the role of control theory in enabling safer, more efficient, and sustainable transportation solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SMC Day &#8211; AI-enhanced Control for Cyber-Physical-Human Systems<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Automatica.it 2026 will host a special&nbsp;<strong>SMC Day<\/strong>, organized in collaboration with the&nbsp;<strong>IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society (SMC)<\/strong>. The event will feature an invited session focused on the theme&nbsp;<strong>\u201cAI-enhanced Control for Cyber-Physical-Human Systems\u201d<\/strong>, bringing together contributions that explore the integration of artificial intelligence and control in complex socio-technical systems involving physical processes, digital infrastructures, and human interaction. The session aims to promote discussion on emerging research directions at the intersection of control, AI, and cyber-physical systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Awards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As customary for Automatica.it, SIDRA will assign<strong> two awards <\/strong>to the best contributions presented at the congress.
